SYRIAN ARMED FORCES LAUNCH NEW SERIES OF COUNTERTERRORISM OPERATION IN HAMA & IDLIB

The Syrian Armed Forces have launched a fresh round of attacks on terrorists’ positions in northern Hama and southern Idlib. The Syrian Army and the country’s air force have launched a new series of attacks on positions of terrorists in northern Hama and southern Idlib . As a result, militants suffered heavy losses. Terrorists’ concentration centers, located near al-Karkat village in northern Hama, were targeted by Syrian troops. A number of terrorists were killed and wounded. At the same time, the Syrian Army hit gatherings of terrorists, stationed in al-Sayyad village and Taybat al-Imam town in northern Hama. A number of militants lost their lives or were wounded in the attack. TIGER FORCES: HISTORY AND CAPABILITIES OF SYRIAN ARMY’S ELITE UNITE

The Tiger Forces are an elite unit of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA). This unit specializes in offensive operations. It is one of the main battle units of the Syrian army. Acting at the most difficult parts of the front, in fact, it has not suffered a single defeat, and it has repeatedly emerged as the winner of the fiercest battles of the conflict. The Tiger Forces belong to so-called “new divisions”, which were created during the Civil War, in the age when the Syrian Army had lost combat effectiveness, having been demoralized after several years of armed hostilities. YEMENI MISSILE HIT SAUDI POWER FACILITY IN JIZAN – REPORTS

REUTERS/Ronen Zvulun A Yemeni ballistic missile has hit a Saudi power plant in the province of Jizan, the Houthi-linked media outlet Almasirah reported on February 19. According to the report, the missile successfully hit the target inflicting a notable damage to the facility. Most likely, the Houthi-Saleh forces used a local variant of the Soviet “Scud” missile for the attack. Pro-Saudi sources deny reports about the missile attack (as always). Saudi military bases and facilities have been repeatedly targeted by Yemeni ballistic missiles during the ongoing Yemeni war.
