Alarm sirens have been sounding out in Pyongyang as tensions mount between North Korea and the US, which may lead to World War Three. A Russian newspaper has said that North Korean ordered an evacuation of more than 600,000 residents, which was a quarter of the city, as fears are growing over a nuclear strike. AMERICA is “moving down the track” to using an even more powerful bomb in North Korea than the one it dropped in Afghanistan, according to one weapons expert. Dr Martin Navias, of King’s College London’s Centre for Defence Studies, said the MOAB (Massive Ordnance Air Blast) bomb, which was used on an ISIS tunnel in Nangahar, was not the most powerful weapon in Donald Trump’s arsenal. Aside from the MOAB bomb – the GBU-43 – nicknamed the “Mother of All Bombs”, he said another bomb, the GBU-57 – the Massive Ordnance Penetrator – was capable of even more destruction. Pyongyang showed off two new intercontinental ballistic missile-sized canisters as well as displaying its submarine-launched ballistic missile and a land-based version of the same for the first time, according to analysts. If North Korea has ICBMs, it could give it the ability to strike targets in the mainland US and Europe. The shorter range ballistic missiles displayed Saturday, meanwhile, are a threat to countries in the Asian region.
