ISIS CLAIMS THEY WERE BEHIND THE LAS VEGAS MASS SHOOTING

Isis has claimed responsibility for the shooting attack that has left at least 50 dead in Las Vegas. A statement published by the group's Amaq propaganda agency claimed the attacker was a "soldier of the Islamic State". "The Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State in response to calls to target coalition countries," it said. In a second statement, Isis claimed the gunman "converted to Islam several months ago". The wording of the release is similar to other attacks that have been inspired, rather than directed, by Isis. The claim cannot be independently verified.

Tillerson: US does not recognize Kurdish independence vote in Iraq

(AFP) The United States does not recognize the independence referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan and urges an end to "threats of reciprocal actions," US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement on Friday. "The United States does not recognize the Kurdistan Regional Government’s unilateral referendum held on Monday. The vote and the results lack legitimacy and we continue to support a united, federal, democratic and prosperous Iraq," Tillerson said. "We urge calm and an end to vocal recriminations and threats of reciprocal actions," he added.

China: 'We Oppose Attempts to Divide Syria'

The al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades is a military wing of the Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees. The group operates in the Gaza Strip The missile is named Zelzal Emad to commemorate the former chief-commander of the al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades, Imad Hammad. The technical characteristics and operational range of the missile has not yet been announced.

IRAQ PLANS TO TAKE CONTROL OF KURDISTAN REGION’S BORDER IN COORDINATION WITH IRAN, TURKEY – IRAQI MOD

The ministray said that the implementation of central government decisions to take over control of all the border posts and airports was “going as planned in coordination with the relevant authorities and neighboring countries, and there is no delay in the procedures.” No details on the excat way how the military was planing to achieve its goal were provided. NORTH KOREA SEEN MOVING MISSILES AS US ADMITS FOR FIRST TIME IT IS IN “DIRECT CONTACT” WITH PYONGYANG

North Korea has again been observed moving several missiles from a rocket facility in the capital Pyongyang, according to a report late on Friday by South Korea’s Korean Broadcasting System (KBS)  rising speculation that the North is preparing to take more provocative actions.  The last time a similar report emerged was  at the start of September , which was followed just days later by a ballistic missile launch which flew over Japan. IRAN AND IRAQ TO HOLD JOINT MILITARY DRILLS ON BORDER WITH KURDISTAN REGION
