DAMASCUS, SYRIA (4:00 A.M.) - The Egyptian Army launched a massive military operation in the Sinai Peninsula last month, targeting the so-called "Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham" near the Rafah border-crossing.
Over the last 72 hours, the Egyptian Army has managed to liberate several villages, while also killing tens of Islamic State militants terrorizing the local population in the Sinai Peninsula.
On Sunday, the Egyptian Army continued their military operation at the key town of Al-Mokatia, killing several Islamic State terrorists lurking around this area.
According to Egyptian Army activists, their forces encircled Al-Matkia and imposed a full-scale siege on the town in order to eliminate the last remnants of the Islamic State.
