US President Donald Trump is on fire over the growing tensions between the United States and North Korea.
It looks that the United States and China have not found a joint ground over the North Korea issue despite claims made by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
“US, China agree on North Korea nuclear threat, Tillerson says” (CNN):
“I think even China is beginning to recognize that this presents a threat to even China’s interests,” Tillerson said during an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation” program Sunday. He was asked about how North Korea was discussed during last week’s summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
“President Xi clearly understands, and I think agrees, that the situation has intensified and has reached a certain level of threat that action has to be taken,” Tillerson said.
So, Trump ordered to send a carrier strike group to the Korean Peninsula and pulled his Twitter gun on the Asian country.
In turn, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry declared the country is ready to respond to the agressive intentions of the United States. The foreign ministry emphasized that North Korea is always “ready to defend itself by force of arms.”
Fortunately, North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong-un does not have a Twitter account. In the opposite case, the war would be inevitable.
