The US Navy has launched the second America-class amphibious assault ship LHA 7 Tripoli at Huntington Ingalls Industries’ (HII) shipyard.

LHA 7 Tripoli was successfully launched after the dry-dock was flooded allowing the vessel to float off for the first time.

LHA 7 Tripoli is expected to be delivered to the US Navy in late 2018.
