The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has captured the marble factory and several adjacent buildings in the Ayn Tarma area east of Damascus.
Syrian Air Force warplanes targeted Faylaq al-Rahman fighters in Ayn Tarma with four air strikes on Saturday, and the Syrian Republican Guard forces bombed Faylaq al-Rahman fortifications in Ayn Tarma and Jobar district with heavy rockets.
From its side, Faylaq al-Rahman targeted SAA posiotions in the vicinity of Ayn Tarma with tanks, and claimed destroying an SAA 23mm gun during the attack.
A T-72av tank of the Republican Guard was also targeted with SPG-9 and was damaged. However, it seems that Faylaq al-Rahman is still unable to counter the SAA push.
From its side, Jaysh al-Islam published photos showing its fighters repelling an attack by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on its positions in the Ashari farms in Eastern Ghouta. However, Jaysh al-Islam hasn’t yet been able to recapture the positions captured by HTS and Faylaq al-Rahman fighters.
It’s expected that Jaysh al-Islam will launch a counter-attack soon on the positions of HTS and Faylaq al-Rahman in Eastern Ghouta. It’s also believed that the SAA will benefit from this and continue its advance in Ayn Tarma in order to increase pressure on Faylaq al-Rahman in Jobar district east of Damascus and push it to withdraw from it.
